Special Olympics Alberta provides year-round sports programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities, fostering inclusion, empowerment, and community engagement through athletic, recreational, and social opportunities.

In Grande Prairie and throughout the province, they offer:

• Weekly training and competition in a variety of adapted sports at all skill levels. 
• Volunteer opportunities to support athletes, coaches, event coordination and more — no prior experience is required. 
• Community and corporate sponsorship avenues to help sustain and grow their programs 
• Inclusive programs for Indigenous athletes and initiatives aimed at reducing barriers to participation
