Haggerty Surveys Ltd.

Haggerty Surveys Ltd.

About

Haggerty Surveys was started in 1982 by my father, Gordon Haggerty. He practiced in Edmonton and also through the Peace Country and northern Alberta. I learned my love of surveying from him, and have now taken up the reins.

I value
     • Professionalism
     • Humanity
     • Collaboration

For me, building a strong community is important. I began my surveying career in the early 1990s when I worked with my father and others on the land, visiting remote communities and working in and around Edmonton. Since 2003, I have worked as a commissioned Professional Land Surveyor. I’ve seen the positive impact that land certainty has on our communities; it gives people clear enjoyment of their homes, business lands, and farms. It allows stable accruement of equity, and gives us peace of mind, a home.

I enjoy people, and dislike conflict. This is one of the things that motivates me to help others settle their boundary uncertainties. I see my business associates, even fellow surveyors, as part of my community and enjoy sharing expertise and working with others on boards and in our community. In my private life, I’m a father of four, a dedicated member of my local church, a volunteer for Rotary, and a bagpiper. In my professional life, I have been a long-time volunteer for the Alberta Land Surveyor’s Association and the Association of Canada Lands Surveyors. I’d enjoy meeting you.

I’m an Alberta Land Surveyor, a British Columbia Land Surveyor, and a Canada Lands Surveyor.
I’m licensed to practice in Alberta, B.C., and on federally-administered lands
