The Community Pulse Series is designed to provide updates and insights from a variety of the industries, sectors, and organizations that make up the fabric of our unique and incredible community. Join us for our series, helping us to share valuable information about our region and the people who make it special. 

In this session on Wednesday, June 16 at 10:00 AM, we will hear an update from the Interim President and CEO of Grande Prairie Regional College, Dr. Glenn Feltham who will discuss GPRC’s historic polytechnic announcement and how the institution’s evolution will deliver benefits for students, communities and the broader region. 

Dr. Feltham served as President and CEO of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) from 2011 to 2019 before joining Grande Prairie Regional College (GPRC) as Interim President and CEO in 2021. He led NAIT in its vision of becoming one of the world’s leading polytechnics, with a focus on relevance and responsiveness. Dr. Feltham has played a leading role in advancing the post-secondary system in Canada and Alberta, serving as chair of Polytechnics Canada as well as chair of the Council of Post-Secondary Presidents of Alberta. Dr. Feltham holds a PhD from the School of Accountancy at the University of Waterloo, an MBA from the University of Montana, an LLB from Queen’s University Faculty of Law, and two undergraduate degrees. Further, he has professional backgrounds in both law and accounting. In addition to his accomplishments in post-secondary education, Dr. Feltham has made significant contributions to Alberta and to Canada. This includes having chaired or served on economic, governmental, academic, cultural, and social boards.
