The Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a  All Candidates Alberta Election Forum 2023. 

All candidates for the Alberta Election in the Grande Prairie Wapiti and Grande Prairie constituencies are invited to participate.  If you are a candidate and wish to attend, please email kim@gpchamber.com 

All candidates will have the opportunity to be available to the public in the area outside the Douglas J. Cardinal Performing Arts Centre (DJCPAC) at Northwestern Polytechnic at 5:30pm.Doors to the DJCPAC will open at 6:00pm for seating, you will require a general admissions ticket at the door to be able to enter the theater (General seating) . The Forum will begin promptly at 6:30pm. Each candidate will have the opportunity to expand on their political platform (3 min) . Once all candidates have been heard, the question period will begin. Questions will be received prior and during the event via electronic form. 

 Answers to questions will be limited to one minute to allow for the maximum number of questions. Following the question period, each candidate will be allowed time for rebuttal and/or to summarize their platform. The Moderator Panel reserves the right to limit the number of questions pertaining to the same issue; to rule out of order any question deemed inappropriate, offensive or derogatory; and to rule out of order any person who attempts to use the question period as a platform for expressing a point of view on any issue.

This event is open to the public, you may register in advance. 

A link will be posted on May 11, 2023, where you will be able to submit a question for the Candidates in advance and you will also be able to submit during the event as well. We will try our best to get through all questions received prior, if time permits.

There is no cost to attend this event. However,  you will require a box office ticket to enter the theater/forum area. Free box office admission tickets shall be handed out on the concourse. Please ensure you receive your ticket at the venue for theater entry or you will not be permitted inside the theater area.
