My friend John and I opened the first Joe’s Pizza Stone in Dawson Creek, B.C. in 2015. We’re long-time pizza lovers (who isn’t?). And we put that love to the test, making a million sauce and dough recipes (okay, thousands), and tried out everything but a blowtorch to cook a pizza. After all that tasting and hoping, we finally came up with our own dough, sauce and at the heart of it all - hot stones!
