HeARTh Social Profit Company Incorporated
Family, Community & Civic Organizations
HeARTh Social Profit Company is a social benefit organization operating in Grande Prairie. We run residential and community support programs for persons with developmental disabilities through a contract with the Alberta Government. Our directors have, through reinvesting their own earnings, also created and continue to develop an inclusive community center to provide social opportunities, skill building, and work readiness through safe spaces, community programs and social enterprise. Our developing social enterprises include office and space rentals, events, an upcycle business, art and craft workshops, an online marketplace, a cafe, and catering. Property management with the right kind of landlords who share our vision for helping people develop stable housing situations is on the horizon. We are invested in and passionate about creating the right kinds of supported housing with programs to help bridge the gap for individuals experiencing barriers to well-being, sustainable tenancy, economic stability, inclusion and equity.
We are visionaries looking for fellow collaborators from all community sectors to help build a connected, caring community where everyone thrives and no one is left behind. We operate within a philosophy that incorporates the Medicine Wheel, Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs, Outward Accountability, and Person-Centerdness. We believe that a community is only as strong as its most vulnerable members. We see every person as a valuable member of the community with something to offer, and something they need. It is in the meeting of the needs around us, doing what we can, from where we are, that we will truly thrive as a community.
