Meet Melissa J. Erickson

BARRISTER & SOLICITOR

I was raised in Northern Alberta and decided to return to the area after I completed my law degree at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC. 

After graduating High School, I first moved to Edmonton where I obtained a two-year Police Studies diploma. Then I moved on to Peterborough, ON where I received an Honours Degree in Forensic Science.

My next stop was Calgary where I worked in management for 6 years, though I took a leave of absence and spent 4 months living in Lyon, France before I headed to law school. Grande Prairie, AB has been my home since early 2018.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, including 5 nephews and 3 nieces. I also enjoy camping, kayaking and hanging out with my dog, Rosie, and my cats, Oscar and Nigel.
