About

n 1978, William Congdon (Bill) founded Eco Medical as a small, Edmonton based medical equipment business operating on the principles of family values and a belief in delivering the very best in customer service.

Over the next 35 years, Bill would grow and diversify Eco Medical into the areas of rehabilitation equipment, power mobility, home accessibility and vehicle modifications. Most importantly, Bill built one of the largest and most specialized teams of employees who share a common belief in customer service and improving the quality of life for Eco’s customers in Edmonton and Northern Alberta.

In 2013, Bill sold the business to the Milroy Family who then joined Eco Medical with its Better Life brand locations in Edmonton and Grande Prairie. This group has expanded further under the Eco banner with locations servicing Red Deer, and now, Calgary.

Together, this group of stores and dedicated employees are now recognized as one of Canada’s largest, independently owned home medical equipment operators. Just as when Bill started nearly 40 years ago, our goal continues to be about delivering quality products and services, and helping our customers improve their quality of life.
