The Peace Region IDPD Committee invites you to a virtual celebration on December 4.
Key Note speaker: Jennifer Douglass with Peace Area Riding for the Disabled Society.
Community Speaker from the Canadian Mental Health Association, Alberta Northwest.
The annual observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities was proclaimed in 1992 on December 3, by the United Nations General Assembly.
Our local event includes presentation of the Inclusive Community Award by the Accessibility Advisory Committee of Grande Prairie and of awards from the Alberta Premier's Council of Persons with Disabilities.
